Debtech were engaged by Amtrade International Pty Ltd to provide project management services for the design, construction and startup of a new sodium chlorate unloading facility located at Australian Paper’s Maryvale Mill.
The role included: extensive stakeholder coordination and overall project management strategy; process evaluation; design management; procurement; and construction management. As a listed Major Hazard Facility (MHF), the site imposed significant additional constraints on the project. Debtech were responsible for the commissioning of the facility from and developed the operational, maintenance and MHF documentation for the facility, integrating with the existing Mill’s management systems and procedures.
The result is the first fully automated sodium chlorate unloading facility in Australia developed collaboratively from the recommended process of ERCO (sodium chlorate manufacturer).
