Major boost for Australian-made recycled paper

Australian Paper’s newly commissioned deinked pulp plant at their Maryvale Mill in the Latrobe Valley is now producing locally made recycled paper. This new waste paper recycling plant will divert more than 80,000 tonnes a year of waste paper that would otherwise be exported or go to landfill.  When operating at full capacity, the plant will produce approximately 50,000 tonnes of recycled-content pulp each year.

Debtech has been involved from the pre-feasibility study through to commissioning; providing contract management, cost management and scheduling services.

Planet Ark has joined forces with Australian Paper on their ‘Make it Recycled’ partnership.

Reducing paper going to landfill and encouraging businesses, households and government to use locally-made, high-recycled content paper.
