Laverton Rail Station Upgrade

The Laverton Rail Upgrade Project is a $92.6 million State Government initiative to improve the efficiency and flow of trains around Laverton and Altona stations. As part of the project Connex Melbourne Pty Ltd was engaged by the Department of Transport to arrange for the realignment of the east and west main lines, a new computer based signalling system and the addition of a new ‘short-starters’ track.

Debtech assisted Metro Trains Melbourne throughout the scope definition, tender and award phases of the track works, overhead works and signaling components of the project and has provided commercial advice and support throughout construction and commissioning.  Debtech’s role included: scope definition; tender evaluation and negotiation; and contract administration services.
