Amcor Glass Plant
Debtech services included contract negotiations for the Stage 1 contract and preparation of the Owner’s project requirements. The role of Contract Administrator, in addition to the normal Engineer/Superintendent duties, required the provision of certification for the Financier.
Subsequently, Debtech was reappointed to provide the same role for the Stage 2 expansion and more recently Stage 3. The new furnace will cost $150 million and be completed during the first half of 2010. Upon completion, the site will have three furnaces with an annual capacity of 600 million wine bottles.
Consistent with the approach in building the first two furnaces, the returns for the third furnace are underpinned by long term customer supply arrangement.
Building on the successful completion of Stage 1 and 2 of the plant, Debtech has been engaged to complete negotiations with Leighton Contractors and administer the timely delivery of Stage 3 of the Plant.
Debtech is proud to continue to provide project management expertise to Amcor on this exciting third development phase of the facility.
